2020 - Your year in review

It’s been a helluva year. No doubt we’ll all remember 2020 as the year of COVID, racial unrest and the riotous US general election. This year will also forever be imprinted on my mind and in my heart as the year I lost my steady companion, Oscar. (Oscar would have HATED social distancing. He was the most friendly, loving, social creature I’ve ever known.)

2005 - 2020

I know for a fact many of you are also grieving the loss of a loved one, dealing with illness, and perhaps experiencing financial loss or uncertainty due to the pandemic.

But as we look back on 2020, will we only remember the hard times?

In your year-end review, what else will you remember about 2020, besides COVID, the election drama or personal loss?

I’m nearly certain that we can all find things that took place this past year for which we’re grateful. In fact, right now, I invite you to make a list of at leastthree awesome things that happened for you in 2020.

My list looks something like this:

  • My online yoga community: When studios and gyms shut down back in March, I never dreamed I’d be a part of such a vibrant, thriving online yoga + self-inquiry group.

  • Trying something new: For my 54th birthday, Rob gifted me a membership to a local climbing gym. We’ve been bouldering and I LOVE it! #nevertoolate

  • Re-discovering the joy of road trippin’: If you know me, you know I love to travel, yet I haven’t been on a plane since March. I have, however, taken several road trips, with Rob and also solo. It’s kinda fun to sit back, crank the tunes and watch the countryside roll by.

  • Harvesting at least 100 cukes from my backyard garden. From oneplant!

  • Climbing my first 14’er, Gray’s Peak, at 14,278’, to be exact.

  • Hosting the first of many Raise the Vibration socially distant, social events.

Our brains tend to focus on the negative, fear, or what we feel we're lacking in our lives. (It’s a well-intended survival mechanism that protects us from danger, yet often keeps us stuck.) The good news is, we can shift this way of thinking. It takes some practice, but once we get into the habit, it becomes the new habit. Our way of thinking, 2.0.

How will you remember 2020?

If you’re stuck, reach out. Want to join our online community? Drop me a line. Having trouble seeing the silver lining? I can help. I’ve got your back.

Let's chat!

With gratitude,

Lisa
