Freedom Friday Burning Bowl Ritual

What’s a burning bowl ceremony?

A burning bowl ceremony is a beautiful ritual used to energetically release something that no longer serves us. It symbolically helps to clear out negativity, resentment, hurt, grudges or suffering, particularly, as we transition from one year to the next.

Letting go gives us freedom.

Once we’ve let go, we can make space for new beginnings.

How does a burning bowl ritual work?

Start by bringing to mind what you want to release. Then, write this on a piece of paper. Letting go begins the moment you put pen to paper.

In a safe place, hold your paper over a fire-safe vessel, and light it on fire. If playing with fire doesn’t feel comfortable to you, you will simply tear your paper up into tiny pieces.

As you watch the paper burn, visualize your unwanted thoughts rising up in the smoke, being released.

My membership performs this transforming ritual together, as a community, the last Friday of each month after my 10am yoga class. Won’t you join us in releasing what no longer serves?

You don’t have to join class to participate in the burning bowl ceremony - simply log on at 11am. (All class times are US central standard time, like Chicaco.)

Members only.
