Full Moon Yoga Practice

Full Moon Yoga Practice

Creating rituals around moon cycles is a powerful way to connect with Mother Nature and the universe, and bring us into the present moment.

When the moon is full, as it will be this coming Wednesday, February 16, it’s a great time for reflection and a beautiful opportunity to take note of your physical and emotional well-being.

In this special online class, we'll honor the full moon with the following practices:

  • Chandra bhedana, or moon piercing breath, a simple, quietly powerful pranayama. Also known as left-nostril breathing, it involves breathing in through your left nostril, the lunar side, and exhaling out of the right, the solar.

  • Chandra namaskar, or moon salutations, a calming, meditative, and soothing version of the more commonly practiced sun salutations.

  • Yoga nidra, deep yogic relaxation. Class is open to all members and class pass holders.
