      <image:caption>Healthy Aging Expert, creator of RAV healthy aging protocol (RAV stands for relevant, active, vibrant) As a young woman, I struggled with wicked food cravings, binge eating, and unhealthy lab reports. I crashed mid-afternoon. Many afternoons, I’d fall asleep at my computer. (Of course, this could have been more closely related to my job at the time as an actuarial analyst.) To try and energize myself, I’d eat boxes of fat-free cookies and candy, and drink diet coke. Then at night, I’d mix a batch of chocolate chip cookies just to eat the dough. Here I was, an active young woman with a successful career, yet my blood work exposed elevated triglycerides and a cholesterol level of over 250. I was riding a terrifying blood sugar roller coaster that was leaving me either puffy and bloated or dangerously thin. I'd constantly berate myself because I wasn’t happy with how I looked and how I felt. I just wanted to feel confident and comfortable in my body. But that’s not the worst part. My friends and family were worried about me, and I beat myself up every morning – swearing to stay off of the sweet stuff, only to succumb again at night. The shame was the worst part. Instead of a beaming young woman with boundless energy and an optimistic outlook on life, I had bags under my eyes, I was tired and moody and felt like crap most of the time. How did this happen to me? That’s when I decided that there HAD to be a better way. I made it my life’s work to study the real science about food and nutrition and to learn why I struggled so much, and in the process I learned how to heal my sugar addiction so I was free from binge eating and compulsive exercising. I finally felt freedom with food and my body, and I learned how to eat and take care of myself in a way that felt nurturing, rather than punishing. Which led me to some pretty incredible results…. I learned how to understand and identify not only my unhealthy habits, but more importantly, what was causing them. Now, in my mid-50’s, for the most part, I eat what I want, when I want. My blood work is better than normal and my weight fluctuates very little. I don’t want to mislead you; I can still succumb to (and enjoy!) the addictive powers of sugar, potato chips and wine, but mostly, I have the awareness to right the ship when this happens. Now, as a health coach energized by my work and no longer falling asleep at my desk, I use this same process with my clients, to help them banish the bloat and energize without dieting or deprivation. I can help you connect the dots and show you exactly how you can do this too, no matter how far off track you've fallen. The clients I work with experience peace with food, feel satisfied &amp; enjoy the food they eat—no more bloat, no more sluggishness and no more shame. The truth is, eating a healthy diet doesn’t have to be painful or devoid of pleasure. There are attainable and sustainable ways to feel good in your body, and a cleanse is a great way to give our bodies (and our minds) a break. For me, it is super liberating to step back from my morning coffee, my evening wine and free myself from my sugar addiction. Even though I eventually go back to the coffee and the wine, I feel EMPOWERED by the break so that when I do choose to have a latte or a cocktail, it’s a conscious choice, not a matter of habit. I’m no longer in the kitchen at night, digging in the back of the freezer for chocolate chips, if that rings any bells.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Healthy Aging Expert, creator of RAV healthy aging protocol (RAV stands for relevant, active, vibrant) As a young woman, I struggled with wicked food cravings, binge eating, and unhealthy lab reports. I crashed mid-afternoon. Many afternoons, I’d fall asleep at my computer. (Of course, this could have been more closely related to my job at the time as an actuarial analyst.) To try and energize myself, I’d eat boxes of fat-free cookies and candy, and drink diet coke. Then at night, I’d mix a batch of chocolate chip cookies just to eat the dough. Here I was, an active young woman with a successful career, yet my blood work exposed elevated triglycerides and a cholesterol level of over 250. I was riding a terrifying blood sugar roller coaster that was leaving me either puffy and bloated or dangerously thin. I'd constantly berate myself because I wasn’t happy with how I looked and how I felt. I just wanted to feel confident and comfortable in my body. But that’s not the worst part. My friends and family were worried about me, and I beat myself up every morning – swearing to stay off of the sweet stuff, only to succumb again at night. The shame was the worst part. Instead of a beaming young woman with boundless energy and an optimistic outlook on life, I had bags under my eyes, I was tired and moody and felt like crap most of the time. How did this happen to me? That’s when I decided that there HAD to be a better way. I made it my life’s work to study the real science about food and nutrition and to learn why I struggled so much, and in the process I learned how to heal my sugar addiction so I was free from binge eating and compulsive exercising. I finally felt freedom with food and my body, and I learned how to eat and take care of myself in a way that felt nurturing, rather than punishing. Which led me to some pretty incredible results…. I learned how to understand and identify not only my unhealthy habits, but more importantly, what was causing them. Now, in my mid-50’s, for the most part, I eat what I want, when I want. My blood work is better than normal and my weight fluctuates very little. I don’t want to mislead you; I can still succumb to (and enjoy!) the addictive powers of sugar, potato chips and wine, but mostly, I have the awareness to right the ship when this happens. Now, as a health coach energized by my work and no longer falling asleep at my desk, I use this same process with my clients, to help them banish the bloat and energize without dieting or deprivation. I can help you connect the dots and show you exactly how you can do this too, no matter how far off track you've fallen. The clients I work with experience peace with food, feel satisfied &amp; enjoy the food they eat—no more bloat, no more sluggishness and no more shame. The truth is, eating a healthy diet doesn’t have to be painful or devoid of pleasure. There are attainable and sustainable ways to feel good in your body, and a cleanse is a great way to give our bodies (and our minds) a break. For me, it is super liberating to step back from my morning coffee, my evening wine and free myself from my sugar addiction. Even though I eventually go back to the coffee and the wine, I feel EMPOWERED by the break so that when I do choose to have a latte or a cocktail, it’s a conscious choice, not a matter of habit. I’m no longer in the kitchen at night, digging in the back of the freezer for chocolate chips, if that rings any bells.</image:caption>
